Staff being designated to should create their own GO Secure account first. After they validate their email, (seeing the successful message) they must EXIT the browser.
Part A - Doctor / Group:
1 - Log into GO Secure by keying the url "https://www.edt.health.gov.on.ca" directly into the address field of an Internet browser.
2 - Arrive at GO Secure log in, key in GO Secure ID (email) and password to log in.
3 - Click "Designee Maintenance" at the Administration & MOHLTC services screen.
4 - Click "Add Designees"
5 - Key in name and email address of designee, select “Save”.
6 - Arrive at the Confirmation of Identity Screen, select “Confirm this Designation”.
7 - If more than one designee, repeat steps 3-5.
8 - Log out and exit the browser.
Part B - Designee/Billing Agent:
1 - Will receive email from GO Secure advising of the designation by doctor/group, click on url link in email.
2 - Arrive at GO Secure log in, (designee) key in GO Secure ID (email) and password to log in.
3 - Accept designation.
4 - Agree to MOHLTC Use Policy
5 - Log out and exit the browser.
Part C - Final Step - Doctor / Group:
1 - Log back into GO Secure by keying the url https://www.edt.health.gov.on.ca into the address field of an Internet browser .
2 - Click “Designee Maintenance” at the Administration and MOHLTC Services screen.
3 - Arrive at the Designated Accounts Screen (Designee's information will appear), under “Email” field (1st field) you will see the designee’s email address, click on the designee’s email.
4 - Arrive at the Service Delegation screen, select Service option “MC EDT Service Upload/Download”.
5 - Arrive at the MEDICAL CLAIMS ELECTRONIC DATA TRANSFER; Designate Permissions Page, click “Select All” ensuring all are check marked or check mark required boxes/permissions.
6 - Go to bottom of screen and click “SAVE”, when complete message “Saved Successfully” will appear.
7 - Finished.
- Doctor: "I have added the agent as a designee but they still cannot access GoSecure to submit or receive files"
Answer: This is because you didn't complete PART C (Final Section). You need to log back into to your account and complete the process.
- Agent: "The doctor has added me as a designee but I still cannot access GoSecure to submit or receive files. They are listed in my account, but not on the upload or download pages."
Answer: This is because the physician didn't complete PART C (Final Section). The physician need to log back into to your account and complete the process.
